Off Season Playing Opportunities
Success is built in the off season.
The Cockeysville Off-Season Field Hockey Program provides players from Kindergarten through 12th grade with fun, affordable, and skill-building field hockey opportunities throughout the spring and summer months.
Designed for both new and experienced athletes, our program focuses on developing strong fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game in a supportive community environment.
Information
Participants can take part in a variety of off-season activities, including skills clinics, instructional camps, and playing opportunities such as league play and structured scrimmages.
Whether a child is picking up a stick for the first time or preparing for school or club competition, our off season program offers age-appropriate training led by knowledgeable coaches who prioritize safety, development, and enjoyment.
Summer Camp & Summer League
Cockeysville Rec Council is excited to offer a Summer Field Hockey Camp for young athletes in Kindergarten - 9th Grade! This camp is designed to help players develop foundational field hockey skills while also building a deeper understanding of game strategies. We welcome all skill levels, from athletes picking up a stick for the first time to those with previous field hockey experience. Participants will enjoy a fun, supportive, and educational environment where they can improve their abilities, build confidence, and make new friends.
PENDING PERMITS - At this time, there is no fee required to register for the summer camp. We are currently awaiting approval of our permits from BCPR. Once all permits have been approved, the official camp registration fees will be issued and collected through Crossbar.

The Cockeysville Summer Field Hockey League is part of the Cockeysville Off-Season Field Hockey Program and is open to 8th–12th grade students.
This league provides a local opportunity for players to stay active, build skills, and enjoy high-quality competition without the travel in preparation for their fall seasons.
League Format:
● Game format: 30-minute matches
● Team size: 7 vs 7 players
● Schedule: Each team plays two games per evening
● Field setup: The main field will be divided into two - three smaller fields for multiple games simultaneously
